Opportunities to travel (including many trips to India during the last 15 years) have provided much of the material for Jon's detailed and often humorous etchings and watercolours. His small metal cut-outs are unique works created by hand – using a jeweller's saw. Larger works are laser cut in steel.
Jon's work is figurative, but rather than accurately reproducing subject matter, he implies the character of a place or object by combining significant elements in an unlikely way.

In recent years Jon and his wife Tanya have held a number of joint exhibitions in Sydney.
